Tri Bhumi Katha

         Tri Bhumi is the belief of the three worlds of Buddhist Cosmology. Tri Bhumi has been called to all three worlds, the world  of sensual pleasure, the world of form, and the world of formless where all creatures have to be endlessly born, called the cycle of birth and death

         Tri Bhumi Katha or The Bhumi Katha is the most ancient and excellent Buddhism literature in Thailand. The King Mahadhammaraja I (Phraya Lithai), the king of Sukhothai Kingdom had composed it since 1345 to reach dhamma into people’s heart to know and get goodness, enormity, and the result of any actions.

Anotata or Anodard Pond

          Anotata or Anodard Pond is located in the middle of Himmapan forest. The current that has been flown from Himmapan forest, perfectly nourishes Jambudipa. That has never been drained till the end of eternity. Anotata or Anodard Pond has surrounded by 5 height bended mountains, there are Sudassanakuta, Chitrakuta, Kalakuta, Gundhamadanakuta and Krilasa.
          There are 4 piers within Anotata or Anodard Pond, located on the four directions called Lion Pier (Sihamuk), Elephant Pier (Hattimuk), Horse Pier (Assamuk), and Cow Pier (Ussapamuk). The current from Anotata Pond is come from the mouth of the blessed animals from all four directions, flown with right direction for 3 rounds then flown from the pond as a current passed Himmapan to Sidantara ocean. Water from Anotata Pond that has been out to the south against the mountain, it makes water into drizzle called Akasa Ganga. Tri Bhumi said water has been spouted up to 60 leagues and then falling down to the ground transformed to Tiyangalapokkharani that flown between 5 mountains and occurred as the Five Great Rivers. There are Ganga, Yamuna, Aciravati, Mahi, and Sarabhu that completely nourish covered the south area.

          Himmapan animals is an imaginary animal living in Himmapan forest. They are created with inspiration from the stories in scriptures that influenced by both Brahman – Hindu and Buddhism. Normal human cannot see Himmapan animals because they are magical so that the characteristic of Himmapan animals is different from natural animal. Their elements is beyond ordinary such as a combination of humans and animals or a combination of animals together becomes Himmapan animals with exquisitely appearance. Some of them has supernatural power such as elephant or horse with wings and be able to fly like a bird and so on.
         These animals are created from the imagination of ancient Thai painter. They can be seen in books and mural at the temples, for example; Wat Khongkharam in Ratchaburi province, Wat Khien in Ang Thong province, Wat No Putthangkul in Suphan Buri province, and etc.

Jambudipa

          The south of Mouth Meru is encircled by Sidantara Ocean with the space of 10,000 leagues*. The human who lived in this land has their own oval face. “Manusa Bhumi” is called for this land.
Jambudipa has been separated into 3 parts,
3,000 leagues for human dwelling
3,000 leagues for Himmapan Forest
4,000 leagues for water area
          Not only the human lived on Jambudipa, but Lord Buddha, Pratyeka Buddha, chief disciples, Buddhist Saint, Bodhisattva, and Ruler of Empire are also lived on Jambudipa.

          “Himmapan” is the vast deep forest and the holy land at the top of mountain which appears in Buddhist literature, “Trai Bhumikatha”. It is believed that the universe consists of hell, world and heaven.

          Himmapan forest is a part of the Chomputaweep (India) which is between human world and heaven. It is located on the high mountain with 84,000 peaks. The forest is huge and abundance where angels and many kinds of magician living such as priest, hermit, ascetic, demigod, and mythical creatures. This land is very far away and is difficult for human to reach.

         The area of Himmapan forest is beautiful and contains 7 large ponds. Anodard pond is a great pond in the center surrounded with 5 peak leaning cover the Anodard pond to protect the water to be pure clean like diamond. Rivers from Anodard pond are separated into 4 directions and bring abundance to all creature in the Himmapan forest. However, the river at the south flows into Chomputaweep. All five rivers flow down to nourish human life in the name of “Panjamahanatee”. They provide moisture to the birth land of Buddha in the past as well.
